UN model debate: Carbon Capture, Storage and Utilization
Do you like debates when there's drama? Want to practice your English? Don't know much about CCSU technologies?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, we've got THE event for you: a UN-style debate, organized by us!
The principle is simple: you take on the role of a diplomat, and have to convince the jury that your position is the best.
It's all done in English, so it's a great opportunity to practice and improve your English. There's no need to censor yourself on this part: everyone's welcome!
The topic: Carbon Capture, Storage and Utilization (CCSU). Even if you don't know anything about it, don't worry, it's normal: we're planning a short presentation on the subject!
Event date: Thursday, November 30 at 1:30 p.m.

🌍 What is Model United Nations (Model UN)? 🌐
Model United Nations, often abbreviated as MUN, is an academic simulation where students emulate the proceedings of the United Nations. Participants, termed "delegates", are assigned countries and specific UN committees. This journey begins with a 360° understanding of the topic, delving into their nation's policies, socio-political history, alliances, and adversaries to convincingly champion its stance on global issues . At MUN conferences, vibrant debates ensue as delegates present their positions, engage in dialogues, challenge opposing views, and seek collaborative solutions, all while adhering to formal parliamentary procedures. The objective? To engage in informed debates, draft resolutions, and collaborate to address some of the world's most pressing challenges, all while honing skills in diplomacy, public speaking, and critical analysis.
