Bioengineering programs train specialists who can understand living systems, analyze complex systems, and propose practical solutions in fields such as the environment, agriculture, food, forestry, bioindustries, and natural resources.

Studying bioengineering allows you to tackle essential issues: finding new ways to produce, conserving resources, protecting biodiversity, rethinking food systems, managing forests, developing sustainable processes, and supporting environmental transitions.

The goal: to learn to understand living systems in all their complexity so you can make a difference in the real world.

 

The Bioengineering Program

The bioengineering program spans five years of study.

It begins with a three-year bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences, with a bioengineering track, which provides a solid foundation in the sciences, the living world, the environment, agronomy, and engineering.

After completing this bachelor’s degree, students continue with a two-year master’s program, which allows them to specialize in one of the following fields: environmental science and technology, forest and natural area management, agronomic sciences, or chemistry and bioindustries.

This progressive program first allows students to build a common scientific foundation and then to tailor their academic focus to the sectors and challenges that best align with their interests.
