ultidisciplinary and interactive, it is regionally anchored in Wallonia and internationally throughout the world. The Faculty's infrastructures are diversified: from a few hectares of laboratories and educational spaces in Gembloux, to hundreds of hectares of fields and forests in Wallonia and to hundreds of thousands of hectares of agricultural and forest spaces in tropical regions. These infrastructures are managed by Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech according to the skills of its teachers and researchers with an effective common strategy.

The title of bioscience engineer includes the former designations of agricultural engineers and chemical and bio-industrial engineers, while demonstrating the evolution of studies and research in Gembloux. The needs of crop and livestock production must now be met in a changing context, and reconciled with the objectives of sustainable development, limiting the ecological footprint and developing resilience. Our work aims to produce basic foodstuffs but also to enhance the value of co-products. There are no more residues, GxABT's approach is to enhance all the components of agro-ecosystems, forests and natural areas. Also, aware that more than 80% of the world's population will soon be located in urban areas, Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech combines training and research on consumer trends, short circuits and the direct and indirect use of bio-resources.

Whatever you need to know about the potential and activities of the people of Gembloux, on the campus and elsewhere in the world, you will find it on this new website. Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech benefits from a central location in Belgium, in the heart of Europe, connected to all modes of transport. You will appreciate the spontaneity of our welcome and will notice the feeling of belonging and the strong family atmosphere. The 500 staff members and 1400 students, including 300 PhD students, form a community in Gembloux that shares strong values and an ideal of knowledge creation and transmission. You will benefit from a work environment that is conducive to academic excellence and quality of life. On the Gembloux campus, a diversity of individual paths leads to the creation of a community of solidarity in the service of the planet.
