O

ne of the main missions of the University of Liege is to carry out research and train researchers. The doctorate is considered as a training par excellence, marking the beginning of the young researcher's career, who is trained in research by doing research.ULiege has about 2,000 doctoral students (between 250 and 350 are in Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech), men and women from multicultural and international backgrounds, who are as passionate as they are creative and persistent. Doctoral students boost research units and contribute to the dissemination of knowledge within society at large through the many outreach activities in which they actively participate.
