Spin-offs

Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech promotes the results of its scientific research, and in particular, through the creation of spin-off companies.

In addition to supporting the creation of spin-off companies, Gesval actively participates in the further development of ULiege's spin-off companies, either as part of its shareholding or through its participation on the Board of Directors. It contributes directly to the definition of new strategies or the identification of new means.

Since 1999, Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech - University of Liege has generated several spin-offs, 7 of which are still in operation.

Green SURF

Created in 2017, Green SURF offers support in urban agriculture projects.

The Miam Factory

The Miam Factory is the first start-up company to emerge from the Smart Gastronomy Lab. The company, created in 2016, is dedicated to the processing and personalization of food using technologies such as 3D printing and laser engraving and the subsequent marketing of these personalized foods.

DNALIS

Laboratory created in 2005.

BioXtract

Created in 2003, BioXtract develops and manufactures innovative food supplements and ingredients for the pharmaceutical industry and food supplements for the Belgian and export markets.

BioXtract's expertise lies in the development, production and marketing of innovative or improved active ingredients of natural origin with very high added value.
