Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech promotes the results of its scientific research, and in particular, through the creation of spin-off companies.

In addition to supporting the creation of spin-off companies, Gesval actively participates in the further development of ULiege's spin-off companies, either as part of its shareholding or through its participation on the Board of Directors. It contributes directly to the definition of new strategies or the identification of new means.

Since 1999, Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech - University of Liege has generated several spin-offs.

Apeo

Apeo (Agronomical Plant Extracts & Essential Oils) is a spin-off specializing in the development, registration and marketing of essential oil-based bioherbicides.

Founded in 1999, Horpi offers a range of effective products for horticultural professionals.

The Miam Factory

Miam Factory is the first start-up to emerge from the Smart Gastronomy Lab. The company, founded in 2016, is dedicated to, on the one hand, the transformation and personalization of food using technologies such as 3D printing and laser engraving, and, on the other hand, the commercialization of these personalized foods.

Lipofabrik (Elephant Vert)

Lipofabrik is a company specializing in plant protection and biostimulation. Its main activity is the production, purification, characterization and formulation of natural active molecules from the lipopeptide family, derived from Bacillus subtilis bacterial cultures.
