Join the MICA Master’s program and help shape the food of tomorrow!

This unique master’s program, entirely focused on food, will allow you to develop your creativity to design new food products, while strengthening your skills in product development and formulation.

You will gain a solid mastery of laboratory techniques, as well as an understanding of food marketing challenges and consumer expectations.

The MICA Master’s program trains you to turn an idea into a tangible product, integrating food regulations and packaging considerations from the very start of the design process.

The main objective of this master's degree is to train managers capable of innovating and addressing the multiple facets of food quality.

An inter-institutional and multi-campus program

The Master’s in Food Innovation and Design Management is offered as a joint degree between

  • the University of Liège: Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, Faculties of Veterinary Medicine and Medicine;
  • the Charlemagne University of Applied Sciences: Technical and Agronomic Departments.
  • Classes are held primarily in Gembloux and Liège:  

    in Gembloux: on the Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech (ULiège) and Charlemagne Agro (HECh) campuses

    in Liège: on the Sart Tilman campus 

    One course is held in Huy, on the Charlemagne Agro (HECh) campus.

    The program is organized to minimize travel between campuses as much as possible.

    Career Opportunities
    The skills developed during this master’s program provide access to advisory, consulting, and project management roles in the agri-food sector (manufacturing, SMEs and micro-enterprises, mass retail, etc.).
    They provide the ideal profile forleading innovation within a food company.
