The 6 hours of wheelbarrows

The inevitable 6 hours of wheelbarrows is the year's flagship activity.

In Gembloux, student life is an integral part of faculty life.

Students involved in all faculty decision-making bodies remain primarily the main organisers of the festivities that take place on campus.

The 6 hours of wheelbarrows

The inevitable 6 hours of wheelbarrows is the year's flagship activity.

Organised by the General Association of Students (AG) and open to the general public, this large wheelbarrow race, animated by concerts, brings together students, alumni and staff members in a very friendly atmosphere in the heart of the campus.

The Faculty Ball and the cabaret

Every other year, students organise the Faculty Ball or cabaret.

These two exceptional evenings provide an opportunity to meet in a quality setting, carefully arranged by the students or to discover hidden talents.

The VE Theatre

Every year, the master’s degree students go on a study trip (VE).

In order to finance their stay, they are involved in a number of projects (wine sales, roses and cactus sales for Valentine's Day, dinners, parties...).

Among these activities, the VE's play is really worth a visit. Having become amateur actors for the occasion, our students revisit anthologycomedies that they stage in typical Gembloux style.

The opening ceremony of the academic year

The opening ceremony of the Faculty's academic year is a life-size demonstration, that, as well as featuring official speeches and inaugural lessons, also makes room for folklore and students.

Speaking of folklore, no ceremony in Gembloux will ever end without the singing of the Faculty!

And for the former graduates, coming back for a sandwich and a beer from the Abbey of Gembloux is a must!
