The botanical garden presents the diversity of flowering plants, or Angiosperms, both woody and herbaceous plants. It completes the arboretum of the Faculty Park.

The botanical garden supports the Botany courses given at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech and more particularly the Systematic Botany course given in the second year of the Bioengineer curriculum. More generally, it will interested any curious observer of plant biodiversity, willing to be introduced to the modern classification of plants.

The plants are arranged according to a phylogenetic logic : the botanical pathway reproduces the evolutionary pathway of flowering plants, while adding a landscape and recreational dimension.

The botanical garden is in progress : the current woody and herbaceous plants precede the diversity of some 400 species expected to bloom in the botanical garden.
