Professor Frédéric Francis appointed "Ambassador of Friendship of Shandong Province"

Professor Frédéric Francis of the University of Liège - Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech has received the "Friendship Award" from the authorities of the Province of Shandong, People's Republic of China.

This title is the highest honorary distinction at the provincial level awarded to foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to the economic and social progress of the province.

This award recognizes the intense collaboration achieved over the past fifteen years, particularly with the Shandong Agricultural University (SDAU) in Taian by Professor Francis, who had already been appointed Visiting Professor at this institution.

After having supervised master's and doctoral students in several successive projects aimed at developing sustainable crop protection methods in China, Professor Francis was appointed expert for the Shandong Province in the framework of "Green control of crop pests and diseases".
