Bioscience engineering courses in Gembloux recognised by the 'Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur'

The bioscienceengineering courses at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech and civil engineering at the University of Liège have obtained accreditation from the 'Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur' (CTI) and the European Quality Label for Engineering Degree Programmes (EUR ACE) for a period of five years.

Late 2019, the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI, France), an independent body responsible for authorising engineering training and developing the quality of such training in France and abroad, has accredited the bioscienceengineering and civil engineering courses of the University of Liège, given within its Faculties Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech and Applied Sciences. In addition to CTI accreditation, these courses have also been awarded the label EUR-ACE (European Quality Label for Engineering Degree Programmes) label, which certifies the highest quality in engineering education in Europe.

CTI accreditation and the EUR-ACE label allow Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech and the Faculty of Applied Sciences of ULiège to join the ranks of the best French and Swiss engineering and polytechnic schools, such as Ecole Centrale Paris, Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole des Mines Paris Tech, AgroParisTech, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, etc. With the European label EUR-ACE, which occupies a prominent place in several European countries (Germany, France, Ireland, Great Britain, Russia, Spain, etc.), ULiège is now fully integrated into the European engineering and bioscienceengineering training area. Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech : the only Belgian bioscienceengineering faculty whose masters are all accredited for 6 years

In its accreditation report, the CTI highlights the quality of the education provided at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech - ULIège, the adequacy of the programmes with the expectations of the labour market as well as the satisfaction of employers with the quality of graduates. The report also highlights a clear and ambitious strategic positioning and a high quality image at national and international level.

Already ISO9001 certified and a member of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (French, Swiss and Belgian association of engineering and management grandes écoles), the quality of teaching and research at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech - ULiège also benefits from international recognition, which rewards a demanding "quality" approach carried out by the Faculty for many years.

More international visibility, more opportunities for collaboration

The CTI also proposes recommendations that are already being implemented.

Thanks to these accreditations, the graduates of Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech are authorised to bear the title of "ingénieur diplômé" (graduate engineer) in France.

They also make it possible to envisage new collaborations with the leading European engineering schools, and French in particular.
