Getting ready for exam sessions

Formative assessments available on eCampus

The eCampus distance learning platform provides you with access to a number of formative tests and/or copies of previous years' exams, enabling you to assess your own level of mastery of the subject matter and remedy any shortcomings you may have detected before taking the final exams. These teaching resources will enable you to better assess your real level of mastery of the subject, and to remedy any shortcomings you may have identified before taking the final exams.

At Gembloux, formative tests are organized at the beginning of November.

These tests cover the material covered since the beginning of the year in all the courses in quadrimester 1 of block 1 of the bachelor's degree.

Organized under identical conditions to those used for the January exam session, they enable you to check that your working methods match the requirements of each teacher. Analysis of your results will help you to fine-tune your working methods, so that you are ideally prepared for the January exam session.

Submitting report cards & consulting exam papers

After each test or exam period, you will receive a report card detailing your marks during a copy consultation session. This report card will help you to identify which parts of a course (theory, exercises, MCQs, etc.) are giving you problems. You'll also have access to all your exam papers in a relaxed atmosphere, and the opportunity to discuss them with your assistants.

Once you have received your report cards and consulted your exam papers, you can, if you wish, analyze your results in greater detail at a personal meeting with the educational coordinator. The aim of this meeting is to re-motivate you by giving you new ways of adapting your working methods, so that you're better prepared for the next session.

Planning your blockade" seminar

Preparing for your first exam session at university can't be improvised! To help you make this first blockade the key to your success, we're organizing a seminar at the beginning of December:

  • help you get organized,
  • create a realistic work schedule to boost your self-confidence, concentration, biological rhythm and fitness.

Independently of this seminar, the educational consultant offers individual consultations to help you with your work system (work methods, organization...).

Assisted blockades

At Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, facilities are available during blockade periods to enable you to study together.

Although no specific supervision is organized on our site, Block 1 assistants remain available at specific times to answer any questions you may have.

A supervised blockade, called "BloqueBooster", organized by the University of Liège is available to our students.
