On Tuesday and Wednesday, November 27 and 28, the meeting of the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (CBFP) was held in Brussels.

This high-level diplomatic meeting brought together Central African Forest Ministers, donors, civil society, the private sector and researchers in the field, under the high patronage of the Belgian facilitation.

The Faculty of Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech - University of Liège was well represented with the scientific communications of four of our Professors (Jean-Louis Doucet, Cédric Vermeulen, Baudouin Michel and Adeline Fayolle), the posters of four of our doctoral students (Simon Lhoest, Fructueux Houngbegnon, Quentin Evrard, Anaïs Gorel), a side-event dedicated to participatory forestry (co-organized with FAO) and a joint stand of CARE Forest is Life and the non-profit organization Nature+. An opportunity to assert before a wide panel the faculty's position towards tropical forests.
