On Thursday 24 January 2019, a delegation from Agreenium composed of Claude Bernhard (Director), Christiane Lennoz-gratin (Deputy Director in charge of international project monitoring), Sylvie Vareille (in charge of veterinary cooperation) and Pierre Grenier (in charge of master, engineer and doctoral training) came to Gembloux to meet representatives of Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech and the Veterinary Faculty.

Agreenium, the French Institute of Agronomy, Veterinary and Forestry, was created to bring together and raise the profile of the skills of public higher education and research institutions in the fields of agronomic and veterinary sciences, which are emblematic of the French cultural and scientific heritage. It brings together 14 institutions of higher agricultural education and 4 research and expertise institutes (including CIRAD and INRA).

The purpose of this visit was to prepare a partnership agreement and to make the University of Liège the beneficiary of Agreenium's first partnership agreement with a European institution.

The visit made it possible to identify the main possible points of collaboration and follows the visit of a delegation from Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech to Paris in December 2016. In particular, the development of digital resources and common approaches to European and international projects were identified as subjects for collaboration.
